We recently had the opportunity to have a short stay in Noosa. We had long been told that it was the perfect family holiday and to be honest this place did not disappoint. Located 90 minute drive north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast, Noosa is home to some of the best beaches in Queensland. In 2017 Noosa was rated in the top three beaches in the South Pacific by the TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards. These postcard perfect beaches surrounded by tropical forests are the ideal place for families with their blue, transparent, calm waters and perfect white soft sand.
Our stay was short and it was more like a taster - but no doubt we will be back again with our family. See below some of our favourite things to do
The Coastal Track
Noosa has so many great walking trails. The kids were always up with the early sunrises, so we used the opportunity to walk some of the beautiful costal tracks.
Hasting Street
Whilst it might not be kid heaven, it was shopping heaven. A great place to grab a coffee or smoothie post walking, and to browse all the gorgeous shops. One particular homeware store was Signature on Hastings, which we adored!
Fish and Chips on the River
Our pick for Fish and Chips was the Red Emperor Fish & Chips, which had the most beautiful fresh seafood. Great to get takeaway and head down to the river for a relaxed bite to eat, plus the kids can burn off the last of their energy.
Gelato
Our nearly 9 and 6 year old claimed that Noosa had the 'best gelato ever'. This was a big call considering these guys have had the real deal in Italy. Their favourite ice-cream ever was Massimo's Gelateria, situated on Hasting Street. Be sure to treat the kids (and yourselves) to this delicious treat!
We are so glad we finally got to visit a place that has been long loved by fellow friends and families and I have to say it did not disappoint.
