Winter is one of our favourite times of the year.
Piles of wood ready to burn stacked outside the house that only a person daring enough would venture, collect and gather to warm the family. A stock of pickled vegetables, preserved fruits, salted meats keep home in the pantry. Warm brews and strong coffee for the coldest of mornings when you can’t get out of bed. Fog encompassing the land, the desire to stay in, the siren call to hibernate under a thick blanket and never leave.
We may not follow the old ways – ways that fed and warmed and calmed the families of yesterday – but we can still feel the yearning. It’s there in our blood, weaved through the things that make us inherently human. With the cold comes the urge to slow down, take stock and rest. A weekend spent curled up with your little ones, reading stories and watching movies, enjoying the cosy simplicity of company with those you love.
Our new collection, Midwinter, is inspired by those times, this cosy season. Pieces to warm your babies, and pieces for Mama too. A collection of soft tones, neutrals and a promise of Spring.
